Winter Solstice Observed
A lovely candlelight ceremony was held in honor of the winter solstice on the evening of Dec. 20 thanks to the Spirit Circle. The solstice marks the “shortest day of the year,” meaning the fewest hours and minutes of daylight. After this milestone, the days will get longer and brighter.
Motel Meals Delivered
The DDUUC Social Action Committee delivered 60 meals to people living in emergency shelter in local motels on Dec. 19. The food was purchased from Villa Mannino with individual donations from outside the church budget. Among the recipients were 5 children and 6 toddlers.
