Pride Day Rescheduled

The Bordentown Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, July 30. DDUUC marchers should meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Riverline Station for the event, which will begin at 1 p.m. Other festivities include:

2pm- Sullivan’s Pet Fashion Contest at Bordentown Home for Funerals
3 to 5- Kids and Family Fun area at Bordentown Home for Funerals and Leaping Dog Art Studios. Sean Kelly will provide live music and the BRHS group Student Voices will also be on hand collecting donations for youth organizations. Plus many $2 off your first beer at Tindall!

DDUUC collecting school supplies

DDUUC will be collecting school supplies for families with children living in emergency shelter in the local motels. Here is a link with details. The initiative is being coordinated by Kara DeRose and Raquel Parker.

Informal summer services to begin July 10

DDUUC changes things up for the summer, skipping the first Sunday of July, August and September, but gathering for freewheeling discussion meetings on the remaining summer Sundays.

Dear Members,

The annual Dorothea Dix Unitarian Universalist Community (DDUUC) Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM following Sunday Service.

This in-person meeting will be held onsite at 39 Park Street, Bordentown, NJ 08505. The meeting will be streamed live over ZOOM for those unable to attend in person. Emails have gone out explaining the process in more detail.

The June 12 service has been changed to “Life In Two Genders.”  Most people are comfortable in the gender to which they were born. Some are not. How might we understand what it is like to be transgender?

June 2022 Services

June 5 – Rev. Charles Loflin will share his message: “Doing what needs to be done.” This will be held in person with live streaming over Zoom.

June 12 – Rev. Larry Smith will present “Jesus’ Top Ten, Part II.” Jesus quoted the Hebrew scriptures quote often to make his points. We will reflect on five of his citations and their relevance to our chosen faith. This service will be on Zoom only.
