Escape from reality and relax with the electronic experimental sound of Joel Izquierdo, performing live at DDUUC on Saturday night, November 8, at 7 pm. The lights will go out and the sanctuary will glow like you’ve never seen (or heard) before!
Joel visits us from Laredo, Texas, on his way to perform at the Philadelphia Modular Festival. He is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter, and electronic musician with a deep love of music and Rock & Roll that resonates in his performance.
Following the concert, Joel will lead a workshop on his instruments, outlook, and creative process. Musicians and curious newcomers are all welcome as you are.

Nick’s International Virtual Garage Concert Series aims to please those of us interested in listening, performing, experiencing, and talking about Space/Ambient/Electronic music!
This solo workshop and performance is presented by Clive A. H. Smith, (born, London, England) a singer/songwriter (ASCAP writer and publisher member), composer/performer, arranger/producer, synthesist/programmer, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer. He received his M.A. in composition from New York University. As a studio musician he has worked with a variety of people including Herbie Hancock, Yoko Ono, Sly Stone, George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Malcolm McLaren, Hall and Oates (receiving a platinum album for his work on their Big Bam Boom record), and Freddie Jackson (receiving a platinum album for Just Like The First Time). Nick’s International Virtual Garage Concert Series aims to please those of us interested in listening, performing, experiencing, and talking about Space/Ambient/Electronic music! Ritchie DeCarlo is a well-known drummer in the Philadelphia area. He is currently playing with One Now Ago, Michael Bernier, Percy Jones, Scott McGill and also teaching drums. Released the first solo album in 2013 titled, WEEK. The album features many guest musicians: David Fluczynski, Michael Manring, Pat Mastelotto, Michael Bernier, Percy Jones, Markus Reuter & and more. Today, Ritchie is incorporating all of his 40 years of experience into his live solo performances.
